How to get started with Briefcase as an accountant

What is Briefcase?

Briefcase is an AI-native bookkeeping platform that captures invoices and receipts, categorises to your client’s chart of accounts, and supports VAT compliance β€” integrated with Xero and QuickBooks.Β  Briefcase also automates prepayments as part of its financial close module.

How do I setup my firm?

  1. You will receive an invite link to join your newly created organisation as an Admin.

  2. To add a client entity, select "Add client" in the dashboard, followed by Xero or Quickbooks. You will then be diverted to your ledger and prompted to allow Briefcase access to that client.

  3. To manage users and access, navigate to your Organisation Settings on the top right.
